How far can we extend this unselfishness? &quot;Ending the life&quot; of an abortion doctor or a liberal politician for example? Assisting suicide for someone in pain? 

I&#039;m sure you will at least disagree with the last one and hopefully the first two as well. This shows the inconsitencies in this sort of thinking.

In the Joshua stories they were *MURDERING* (with swords) men, women, children, and babies while stealing their land and forcing some of the young Canaanite women into &quot;marriages&quot; (rape). There was nothing unselfish about that.</description>
